Recruitment process

We guide you through what happens when you apply for a position with us.

We know how frustrating it can be to not know what is happening with a job application after you've applied for a vacancy. That's why we like to make our job application and recruitment process as transparent as it can be. Discover what happens once you hit that submit button...

Step 1: Get yourself focused

Before even touching the application form, take some time to digest the role you're applying for. We like that candidates have taken the time to fully consider what they need to demonstrate and have done their research into what we do at GOSS.

Step 2: Tailor your application

It's tempting to reuse the same CV and covering letter but honestly, don't. It's so obvious to us when this is the case. Put yourself in the best possible position to receive an interview invitation by making sure your application is completely tailored to the role you're applying for at GOSS.

Step 3: Submit your application

Head over to your selected job vacancy and use the included form to submit your application. Upload your CV and covering letter, and use every opportunity in the application form to sell yourself to us. This will be our first impression of you, so make sure it's as good as it can be.

Step 4: Application review

After you've submitted your application, it'll make its way to the relevant person who is leading the recruitment for your role. They will then review your submission over a couple of weeks after which you'll receive communications about the outcome of your application at this stage.

Step 5: Initial conversation

If you're lucky enough to pass our application review, we'll invite you to attend an initial video conversation. During which the recruiting manager will get to know you better, so be ready to tell us all about yourself, your experiences, and what makes you right for the role you've applied for.

Step 6: Initial conversation review

After an initial conversation the recruiting manager will use the information they've gained about you to inform their next steps. Expect an answer from us within a week about the outcome of your initial conversation with us.

Step 7: Interview

The final stage for candidates is an interview with the recruiting manager in addition to other members of the GOSS team.  If you're lucky enough to make it to this stage, you'll be required to attend either an in-person or online interview where we'll ask you to complete a task to measure your ability to fulfil the responsibilities of the role. This is your chance to stand out from the other shortlisted candidates, and also your last opportunity to demonstrate that you're right for the role.

Step 8: Decision making and offer

After you've completed the interview stage with us, it is now our turn to evaluate all shortlisted candidates. We'll take some time to review your whole application and make a final decision. Should you be fortunate to be offered the role, the recruiting manager will be in touch to inform you, and from there your journey with GOSS truly begins!
