GOSS Writer: Internet Publishing using GOSS iCM
The GOSS Writer course is a hands-on course that gives you all you need to get started creating rich, vibrant content for your GOSS iCM powered website or intranet.
On completion of this course, delegates will be able to:
- Login to GOSS iCM
- Create web pages using the WYSIWYG and tab editors
- Add images, documents and links to their pages
- Use version history to restore lost content
- Understand how the Approval process affects them
The course will look at everything you need to know to get started writing articles - the iCM term for webpages. From the basic container of an article you will learn how to choose the right template to suit your text, add images, links to other sites and documents for download, and create interactivity using simple forms.
In addition you'll see an overview of the basics of the security and approval functions - don't worry, you won't need to set these up, it's all done for you! Showing the security and the approvals modules will let you see how and where you can create or remove content, how it's checked before it goes live - and we'll also show you how to get it all back using version history if you change anything you didn't intend to.
Who should attend?
If your organisation has adopted a devolved content model (simply put, the person with the knowledge writes the page) and you now write directly onto your organisation's website rather than sending it to a 'webteam' to upload, then this course is the course you need.
