SOCITM Insight Chief Executive Report

What should Chief Executives ask of their websites (applies to private and public sector)

Reaction to a report published by SOCITM Insight which challenges Chief Executives to take a look at their website. The first 3 of 10 questions were:

  • How much do failed website visits cost?
  • What proportion of websites come in via the website?
  • What are the top tasks that people carry out on the website?

This presentation looks at each in turn and concludes that channel shift to online is vital as an efficiency saving exercise. That using proven online marketing tools to promote your website can assist channel shift. And that by shifting contact from phones to websites can make £2m efficiency savings.

And finally this is a Win-Win situation. The user benefits form a better quicker service and the organisation benefits from a lower cost per contact.
