Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council is a non-metropolitan district council in Hampshire, serving more than 176,000 residents and a thriving business community. The council is embarking on an ambitious digital transformation programme to drive efficiency and use technology to improve customer access.

After a rigorous procurement programme, Basingstoke and Deane have selected the GOSS Digital Platform. With this powerful end-to-end no-code platform, the authority is now able to realise its vision for modern digitally joined-up and streamlined services, which focus around their customers' needs and make doing business easier.

A key feature of the council's approach is the importance it places on being able to rapidly develop and build digital processes without reliance on highly technical users, which makes the no-code configurable GOSS Case Manager module of the GOSS Digital Platform the perfect fit. Moreover, the GOSS Digital Platform includes a range of performance dashboards which will enable the council to have an enhanced understanding of its business and provide improved customer insight and intelligence to effectively plan services, better manage information and action future improvement.

The council's integrated approach recognises that wider customer engagement forms an important facet of the whole digital transformation piece, and project implementation will in time also include a fully refreshed and engaging new council website built on the advanced GOSS Content CMS which is included as standard within the GOSS Digital Platform.

Residents and businesses can now look forward to a customer portal that supports personalised information management. Furthermore customers and staff can now feel empowered to create, track and resolve service requests using intuitive, accessible and resilient digital services that will help the council to run more efficiently and embrace high standards of customer service.
