We have helped our clients deliver new online services to their citizens including ferry disruptions, improved waste collection solutions as well complex integration into various 3rd party systems.

We are looking for a full time experienced Application Support Technician to join our relaxed and friendly team based in Plymouth.

THE ROLE

As a GOSS Application Support Technician, you will join the team either from home or in our large open plan Plymouth office and will work as part of the Client Support Team. You will be one of the main points of contact for our clients and their users, handling support and training queries relating to the GOSS Digital Platform. You will bring support desk expertise to the team, working closely with others to provide fast resolutions to issues as well as suggestions on how our clients can fully utilise the Platform. You will also work closely with our operational team which includes Project Managers, Sales and Software Developers.

THE PERSON

You will have extensive experience of working in a busy IT support environment, will have a good understanding of IT & digital services and can quickly get up to speed with our products and services. You can use a variety of tools to quickly diagnose and resolve issues and can communicate with the client using appropriate tone and language.

You can work well under-pressure and can manage multiple tasks and projects sometimes with minimal supervision. You will have experience of working towards SLAs and understand the pressures of a busy IT service desk. You work well within a team but can competently work alone to ensure SLAs and deadlines are met. You are enthusiastic about technology and take pride in delivering work of a high quality.  You are adaptable and flexible and willing to do extra where needed to ensure client satisfaction levels are high.

INTERVIEW DETAILS

Initial interviews will be via telephone/Skype with our Client Support Manager and a Senior Project Manager. If successful you will be invited to attend a competency-based interview via Microsoft Teams which will last approximately 1 hour.
