Developer features

GOSS iCM lends itself easily to further development by technical users.

With access to APIs, developer teams can amend and create their own templates, functionality and integrations.

There is no lock-in with GOSS and in addition to GOSS support, there is a active community of developers working on template functionality.

Open Source

All standard templates are available under an Open Source licence. Template enhancements are shared in GForge. In this way, businesses can benefit for best practice and extend their developer abilities.

Community

The Community of GOSS users is active on GForge and meets regularly for Developer Webinars. Developer forums are on GForge and the GOSS iCM feature forum is on UserVoice.

Training and support

Full on-site Training is available for those who wish to work on templates at the API level. Training is delivered by GOSS developers. Support is offered online and via telephone.

Developer teams can access template APIs to extend their website functionality. Developments are supported by full iCM training, telephone and online support. An active Community shares ideas and developments in GForge.

The combination of full documentation, training and community support means that there is no product lock-in. Many clients work with our core templates and build their own websites and functionality, with minimal support from GOSS. Further more, many developers share their templates with others in the community. This is perfect for the more technically adept who prefer a hands-on approach.

"Everything I could ask for as a developer with years of web experience but new to .NET & GOSS iCM. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!" Ian Burrett, Web Developer, East Renfrewshire Council

"The GForge community site looks like it is turning into a really useful resource for developers to share ideas and add value to their websites." Tom Stirling, New Media Officer, North Yorkshire Police
