iSuggest is an intelligent natural language processor developed by GOSS. It is a web service that can be plugged into existing information management software e.g. web content management and document management systems.
iSuggest selects topics from a given taxonomy of categories including IPSV (Integrated Public Sector Vocabulary) and client specific taxonomies. The iSuggest tool does this by automatically scanning digital content - text, data, images, movies - and offering relevant metadata for attachment.

Automatic learning
iSuggest learns and is integrated into Solr. This provides the potential for iSuggest to be used at the site level for smart and faceted searching and can provide an enhanced facility for site users. The web service can be used in two ways
Option 1
As a suggestion tool for metadata that can be used on a case-by-case basis by adding a URL or a text to a secure web page that will analyse the content and match it with a classification scheme of your choice including IPSV, offering relevant metadata terms.
The user can then select these terms and associate them to their web page or document.
Option 2
Alternatively this entire interaction can happen behind the scenes without the user needing to understand the application of metadata. GOSS can integrate the web service with your software to automatically tag web pages to your choice of classification scheme including IPSV,enabling users to find the information they require quickly and easily.
