All templates have the flexibility to be amended by our developers or you own thanks to the powerful Developer features, so that full control can be exerted over layout, positioning and functionality.
Default Template
The Default template can display standard page content, inlines and related asset blocks to produce a rich and versatile web page display that can be used to display the majority of a website. Additional formatting and styling may be added to the page by Content Contribution using the simple WYSIWYG article editor in GOSS iCM.
An article based on the Default template is displayed with the page title, introductory text and page content at the top of the page. The first related image that has been related to the page will be displayed at the top of the page underneath the introductory text.
Related flash movies will be embedded at the bottom of the page content, allowing the user to view the flash movie within the webpage. If the mobile device does not support flash content, the related flash will not be shown.
List Template
The List template will display a vertical list of panels, with each panel containing a summary of other pages on the website including a link to that page. An article using the List template can be used throughout the website to group articles together.
An article based on the List template is displayed with the page title, introductory text and page content at the top of the page, with any related images and inlines displayed in the page content.
Below the page content will be displayed a single column list of all pages which are related to the current article. Each list item will consist of the page heading which will act as a link to the article.
Login Template
This template will be used to allow users to register with the site, and subsequently to login, edit their user profile, and change their password. Also, if a user attempts to access a secure article when they are not authenticated, they will be redirected to a default Login article. Once they have successfully logged in they will be redirected back to the secured article, provided that they have the appropriate access rights.
Search Template
The Site Search template will allow a keyword search to be performed for articles and media items on the site. The search root article IDs may be defined in the article extras page using a comma-separated list of article IDs, and the search is restricted to only articles below these on the article tree. Metadata search filters can be related to the Site Search and will be displayed as checkboxes on the search page used to restrict the search to those categories.
The types of media to be searched for may be specified by selecting media types from a set of checkboxes on the article extras tab. The media search scope may be restricted to only media within certain media groups, and these may be defined by providing a comma-separated list of media group IDs on the article extras tab.
Form Template
An article using the Form template displays a form which website users may complete and return by email to specified recipients. Forms are built in GOSS iCM using the free forms builder and the data from them can be browsed from with in GOSS iCM.
