Accessibility validation – only allows content creators to publish articles that have met the accessibility guideline that you set (A, AA or AAA). Articles that do not meet the set criteria have the in-accessible areas highlighted for amendment and re-submission.

Bulk editing – web manages can view content in an Excel/grid style. The tool gives administrators the power to create, sort, edit, delete and move high volumes of content, including web pages and multimedia files, in one operation. Web managers will be able to save time as large amounts of content can be quickly and easily viewed and amended on one screen.

Bulk uploading - web managers can now mass upload multimedia files, simultaneously and at the touch of a button. Mass content can be uploaded, sorted and have attributes amended en-mass, such as descriptions and keywords, plus have review dates set, which makes great time savings. The tool also automatically creates thumbnails and other image sizes as specified.

Contributor assistance – content contribution assistance ensures contributors are guided through the process of supplying all the correct information that administrators specify to meet internal standards or other accessibility guidelines. Administrators control the prompts and help text that contributors see whilst editing. This allows contributors to know exactly what content is required and where to place it.

Edit this page – allows content contributors to create and edit articles from the website (without logging into GOSS iCM).

Feature Groups – group articles together to re-use throughout your site. These can be displayed as related content on most templates, or within in other areas on the home page.

Forms – drag drop creation of forms with text boxes, drop down choices, pick lists, radio buttons and check lists. Forms can have branching multiple pages, live feedback and validation.

Friendly URLs – create friendly URLs for every page, great for SEO. These can be managed in the bulk editing view.

Group security layers - granular security of contributor access down to individual articles and media. Access and permissions can be set to view, add or edit.

Image manipulation – crop and re-size images on the fly, before adding them to your article or media library. Create thumbnails and other image sizes as required from the same source file or from different source files.

Inlines – add images, links or code snippets, for embedding gadgets or other Social Media (such as Google Maps, Met Office weather, Flickr, YouTube, SlideShare, Twitter feeds, Social Bookmarking tools) to add instant interest and engagement to your articles.

Mass email – collect user data via forms. Data is stored safely in GOSS iCM. Send HTML emails to all or a section of registered users. Customise HTML email templates so that they have the same look, feel and functionality as your website.

Media usage tracking - from a media item, see all the articles that are using the item. Or from articles, see where each media item is stored. This works for all media types: images, links, documents, forums, polls, metadata, features and events.

Metadata – create metadata manually or use pre-defined taxonomies to select metadata. Metadata from taxonomies can be related manually or automatically when the iSuggest tool is used.

OUR – record, imbed and share training videos, presentations and demonstrations for your staff and clients. Quickly and easily.

Redirect template – article forwarding to the destination of choice.

Scheduling - set times and dates for articles to be switched on and off. Set times and dates for automatic email review notifications on an article. Plus set times and dates for an article to be automatically archived and where it will be moved to (parent and child position).

Solr – search

iSuggest – next generation tool that extracts meaning from content and promotes a deeper understanding of existing content to users. iSuggest "reads" your content and then suggests related content that already exists. This might be images, documents, other articles or metadata. These can then be added to your article, manually or automatically. Furthermore iSuggest learns from user interaction to provided better results each time.

Version history – the full history of each article can be viewed, and previous version can be published, or the differences between two or more versions highlighted.

Video support and training – need a quick reminder? Dip into our extensive knowledge bank, full of quick "how to" videos or read overview or more technical documentation.

Workflow – users can submit content for approval. Approvers can edit, reject (with notes), delete or take ownership of articles. Approvals can be single stage or multi-stage. Single or multiple users can have the authority to approve. Submitting users and approvers are notified of status changes by auto-generated emails.

WYSIWYG – great for non-technical users, see what the article will look like in real time as it is created, with placeholders showing all the content that can be added, and hint text (editable by administrators) to help guide contributors to the type of content required.
