A new tool in iCM version 8.0 allows web managers to view, create, sort, edit, delete and move high volumes of content, including web pages and multimedia files, in one operation.
In addition, a number of further enhancements made to the core software have resulted in a faster, sleeker and more powerful user experience. The upgrades were made following feedback from user groups and customer surveys. The feedback highlighted how some Web Content Management Systems are good for single page edits but struggle with larger sites, often with in excess of 10,000 items of content. This forces users to create their own spreadsheets to visualise their content. In contrast, the iCM system grows as users' websites grow.
iCM 8.0 is available as a free upgrade to all current GOSS clients and is included as standard to all new clients.
Robert McCarthy, managing director at GOSS Interactive, comments, "The launch of iCM 8.0 is the culmination of a process whereby our clients actively shape our software to their requirements. This allows us to focus precisely on meeting the needs of our clients. Our in-house Development Team has the skills and drive to turn these requirements into product enhancements that everyone can benefit from."
Other benefits:

Page validators - The introduction of page validators to allow external services to examine page content pre- or post- publishing and return their status. Pre-configured validators are supplied to check pages against W3C, WAI and readability or users can add their own validators as required.
