Your duties will include:
- Install and upgrade the company products
- Responding to client queries regarding server related queries
- Implementing a centralised server management system
- Ongoing development of internal management systems
- Integrating with other systems, both internal and external
- Implementing a hosting platform
To be considered for the role you must have:
- Experience of managing Windows servers
- Good networking knowledge
- Passion for web site configuration, tuning and troubleshooting.
- Experience with monitoring tools, scripting, and internet security.
- Object orientated programming skills and API implementation experience.
- Good knowledge of programming patterns
Added bonus:
- Some experience with Open Source products
- Good knowledge of virtualisation e.g. VMWare
- Previous experience as a Windows/ Linux Administrator in a web-hosting environment preferred
- Previous experience in Cloud hosting (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Eucalyptus)
Additionally, you must be able to work well both alone and as part of a team. The scope of the role is very diverse, as such, you should be happy to experiment with many technologies and have the ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively.
