Why use OGC Buying solutions?

'Buying Solutions', the national procurement partner for UK Public Services, is an Executive Agency of the Office of Government Commerce (OGC) in the Treasury.  They have completed a rigorous Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) selection process before awarding Framework Agreement Contracts, therefore:

  • EU compliance - Public Sector clients have the reassurance that they are using a fully EU-compliant service that is not open to challenge
  • Best practice procurement - suppliers are carefully evaluated, vetted and selected and pre-agreed Terms and Conditions offer Public Sector clients sound contractual safeguards
  • No financial limits - there is no legal limit on the quantity or value of orders that can be placed

Quicker access and lower cost - the costly OJEU procurement process, which takes several months, has already taken place and Public Sector clients can easily use the Buying solution's trading website to place orders or 'shortened response tenders'.
