Salary: £23,000 to £35,000 based on experience.
As a Web Applications Developer you will be working at the cutting edge of technology on highly dynamic web applications, delivering simple, clean and maintainable code. Requirements
- Knowledge of C# programming is essential.
- Strong ASP.NET skills with .NET framework 2.0 and above.
- An accomplished JavaScript developer - designing, writing, testing and using frameworks such as JQuery and Ext.
- Knowledge of Java, ColdFusion, XML and/or Web Services will be beneficial.
- A strong developer in XHTML and CSS, having a good understanding of semantic mark-up and accessibility.
- A broad idea around software development process.
- Experience of developing for Content Management Systems is advantageous.
Main duties
- To evaluate and communicate to project leader on a regular basis any progress on timescales and technical limitations associated with project deliverables.
- To deliver software projects and support as required.
- To ensure that all work carried out complies with company standards and guidelines.
- To test and validate work produced as part of the development process.
- To ensure that all work carried out is well-documented, and that the documentation is accessible to relevant parties.
- To be proactive in prototyping and presenting concepts to your immediate and wider team.
- To work with a diverse team - encompassing sales, design, production, development and support team.
- To keep abreast of developments in technology and computing in areas pertinent to GOSS and within the wider industry.
