South West Devon MP Gary Streeter visited the offices of Plymouth firm, GOSS Interactive to find out how the company has achieved huge growth during a time of recession as well as continuing to develop technology for its many public and private sector clients.

GOSS Interactive, a leading supplier of websites, hosting and Web Content Management solutions, has grown significantly in 2009 with numerous new clients and staff coming on board.

Gary Streeter said. "The future growth in our economy and future job creation will depend upon private sector firms like this."

At a time when many firms were having to make people redundant, in 2009 the team at GOSS grew from 40 to 53 to meet the demands of new clients such as the Met Office as well as continuing to work with existing clients including Brittany Ferries, DorsetForYou, South West Water, Newquay Airport, and the Tamar Bridge. Clients benefit from receiving significant cost saving and efficiency making. DorsetForYou have saved £700,000 since 2004 when they became a GOSS client, plus at least £78,000 per annum in shared costs for staff, web development and hosting. By sharing services, most local authorities in Dorset now provide services via the Dorset portal.

Rob McCarthy, Managing Director, GOSS Interactive, added "I am looking forward to introducing Gary to our team as well as showing our innovative technology and how we make significant efficiency gains for our clients."

The company, based at the Tamar Science Park, is now planning a move into new premises, four times the size of its current offices.
