GOSS SAS... The InterviewsThe challenge was thrown down by the team at GOSS and was grasped fully by those candidates who attended the open interviews at the Future Inn, Derriford on Monday 5 June 2006.The recent open interviews held by GOSS in their search for a sales apprentice received fantastic media coverage and interest. The event was well attended with 24 candidates turning up to be put through their paces by the GOSS interview panel. GOSS Managing Director, Richard George, remarked,"We did not know what to expect when we came up with the concept of the Sales Apprentice Scheme. The level of interest shown in the scheme and in our company has been fantastic. Richard adds, "The calibre of candidates attending on the day was superb and has given the interview panel a tough time in deciding the shortlist for the next round". The event was aimed at providing those without sales experience the opportunity to gain a foothold in the competitive world of sales within a dynamic and fast growing company. GOSS Marketing Manager Sharron Robbie says, "The day started at 8-00am and we received a steady stream of applicants throughout the day. To make the process a little more interesting we provided each candidate with a 'mystery' item which they had to sell to the panel". "All those who took part really entered into the spirit of things and we listened to some fantastic presentations". Richard adds,"We were looking for people who are ambitious and focused on achieving a career in sales and who are prepared to go that extra mile". Carrying out a recruitment drive in this manner is something we will do again as it has produced potentially some great new members of the GOSS team. The next stage of the process will be second round interviews which will be taking place on the 16 June 2006 at GOSS company headquarters. The GOSS team would like to thank all those who showed an interest in working for GOSS and who put themselves forward to take part in GOSS SAS.
