GOSS launches UK firstLeading Internet solution provider, GOSS, has extended its portfolio with the launch of the first transactional services solution developed specifically for public sector organisations - CITIZEN TRANSACTLaunched on 1 March 2005, CITIZEN TRANSACT enables local authorities and other public sector organisations to deliver their products and services online, providing a solution that brings together all services at the citizen interface as a shop, and addresses many of the ODPM's Priority Outcomes regarding payments and transactions. CITIZEN TRANSACT enables citizens to make payments and request services throughout the website, and at the same time maintains a single 'shopping basket' to ensure that citizens retain a clear view of the products or services that have been requested. Responsibility for creating and maintaining the products and services can be devolved to any number of individuals, groups and departments, through a secure workflow and approvals process. The requirement for council solutions to work with existing back office systems is of increasing importance. Based on open standards CITIZEN TRANSACT will integrate, tightly, with any standard infrastructure and business system, and externally with the Government Gateway, third party payment providers, and with Departmental Interface Servers (DIS) to meet a council's authentication requirements. Key outcomes
"The introduction of CITIZEN TRANSACT emphasises our commitment to the continued development of tailor-made intelligent business solutions that meet and exceed the needs and requirements of our clients." Richard George, Managing Director, GOSS.
